I live in Hampstead with my husband and three children. I work as a solicitor, and do pro bono work in my spare time, predominantly for children’s and Jewish charities.
I am particularly interested in early years education, and I was a governor of a state-maintained nursery school in Camden. I held this role during a difficult period of rent increases and COVID lockdowns. I, along with the other governors, guided the nursery through the range of financial, health and safety, and stakeholder engagement issues that this presented.
If I were elected as your councillor, my focus would be on listening to your views; championing them on the council; building relationships with councillors from all sides to deliver the best outcomes for you; and scrutinising the council’s work to ensure accountability. It’s important that the ward is advocated for and factored adequately into the council’s decision-making.
Working as a lawyer for the past 15 years has given me several transferable skills useful as a councillor, such as knowledge of governance and regulation, analysis, research, negotiation, resolution, advocacy, and of course, time and project management. I look forward to working with Cllr Steve Adams as your Conservative team for Frognal.
