Honoured to have been appointed as Chair of Media and Technology for H & K Conservatives Association which he first joined back in 2009.
Nigel has been in Information Technology since the 1980s, engaged in fundamental research into AI and ‘fuzzy logic’ at Imperial College, London before going into the commercial sector in Merchant and Retail Banking, then moving into Management Consultancy at a leading firm and then working in the Energy Oil industry sector as Head of IT.
In recent years now focusing as an Information Technologist Entrepreneur and management consultant specialising in cloud technologies, living in Belsize Park and Primrose Hill area.
Local Camden Community campaigner since 2006. Conservative candidate in local elections 2010 for Belsize (where he missed by only 52 votes!), 2012 for Primrose Hill with Camden Town and 2022 for Gospel Oak. Deputy chair of large housing resident group and member of Belsize and Primrose Hill Police SNT panel since 2006, where he is elected as Deputy chair since 2010.
In 2021 has been increasingly involved in electronic campaigning and with Digital Tories having taken part as team leader promoting and pitching an idea at a recent Hackathon looking to design new campaigning tools for the Conservatives. Nigel was delighted to have taken third place for the idea and for his team developer to receive first place for what hopefully may become a new feature set in our corporate e-campaign tools for 2023.
Nigel is also Fellow of the Zoological Society London, which he takes great interest in matters of conversation of animal diversity. Member of both the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Where he takes particular interest in effective use of technology that can bring improving patient outcomes.
In his spare time a very keen photographer and filmmaker, “ I love to photograph the world around me”. During the pandemic Nigel re-launched a project using traditional film stock with chemical process and scanning to digital, to optimise indoor time!
